Clarkson’s Farm
Just watched the full series and thought it was excellent. A great mix of characters - Kaleb is a true star and Gerald was incomprehensibly hilarious.
Nice to see Clarkson being a bit more natural and less scripted than TG or TGT Thoroughly entertaining and interesting at the same time. Recommended. |

I watched it over the course of a week - it's very good. Funny, a bit silly in places (deliberate fuck-ups, playing to the cameras) but quite heart-warming.
I think Gerald's brother was in Hot Fuzz.

I loved it, and cannot wait for more so I can binge it all again in one evening.
We see another side to Clarkson that some people seem to believe can't possibly be there, but there he is nursing a lamb all night. Admittedly so he can turn it into food later, but still.

On the 2nd episode and enjoying it. Just wish the language wasn't quite as bad so as my son could watch it. He would love it - and would give him an appreciation for how hard farming is!

It's just brilliant, entertaining yet making a very strong statement relating to the plight of British farming. It's also fascinating that meticulous level of detail involved in farming and how that has a significant impact on the financial success and viability of the farm.

Very funny programme and hope they shoot another. Trouble is, it takes a year to make it so will be a long time till we see another.
Some brilliant characters in it like Kaleb and Gerald. I don't think Clarkson needs Hammond and May any more as sidekicks. Some more stuff on this Kaleb guy ........

Watched them all a few days ago, really did enjoy it. Not sure a second season will have the same effect as he isn't a novice anymore - soon see.
Who would ever have thought Clarkson would - 1. Want to do manual labour. 2. Drive a tractor for a living. 3. Care about the environment. |

I was on the fence regarding watching his show. I loved James May other shows because our interests align.
Clarkson always sounded self-centered, self-serving and a buffoon to me. Thanks for your opinions, I will give it a go.

Watched them all this week and I really enjoyed it. Have to admit farming isn’t my cup of tea but it was an entertaining show and to see what goes into farming is an eye opener…!
Well worth a watch! |

I agree with a lot of the comments already posted.
I enjoyed the whole series, some aspects more than others and there was most definitely some scripting going on, but bloody hell dont farmers have to jump through some hoops. Well worth the watch though and will watch series 2 if they do one. Kaleb needs his own series too, maybe entitled "A year with a buffoon" |

Great series. Watched it over the last week and all the family enjoyed it together. Plenty of scripting for sure but also many funny pieces and Clarkson seems to genuinely care about farming and animals. Kaleb and Gerald are brilliant too.

We watched all episodes in three days, and found it funny and learning to see how much work goes into farming. Most impressed with Kaleb - for such a young guy, he clearly knows his stuff about farming. Gerald's quite a character, but if there ever was a person made for subtitles, it's him. Looking forward to series 2, and hopefully, he will make more than £144 profit...

We are currently watching it, about 4 episodes in.
Seems decent so far, more interesting than the guff on terrestrial TV these days, basically just soaps and game shows. To be honest, the grand tour and now this are the only things we have watched on Prime as the rest just seems to be rubbish. You can tell parts are clearly scripted but I guess they have to be. One shot last night where he is building the dam, you can see about 20 crew as the camera panned round. |
