As the forum member who did this and obviously does not want to wade into an argument has done far more performance mods to his F30 than those in this thread over the past 2-3 years of owning a F30, I take him very seriously. He has done mods and changed them if they did not give the desired results. He continues to tweak his F30 and has been very open with me about what mods worked and which mods did not. As a result, I take his information very seriously and will not be doing this mod.

When I saw that first video I mentally questioned the change to the axles. Costly mistake. |

Of course, always keep that in mind talking to anybody selling the item in question. However, I had already purchased the arms from FCP Euro before calling them and told the guy as much right off the bat, he laughed and said he didn't mind and understood that there was nobody else I could really ask. He said they had installed them on a ton of cars already and didn't have any problems reported regarding the tie rods and getting the toe set correctly. He didn't have to help me out, but he was a nice guy and I believe his answer was sincere. Several thousand miles and a few track days later, my experience corroborates.

I need to do this on my F30, does anyone know if the spacers are necessary for the F30? Or was that just needed on the F22? I'm planning on doing both Control Arms and Thrust Arms as the the F30 out of the box handles like trash and seriously needs camber up front.

The tension struts/thrust arms do require spacers since the bushing is more narrow on the F80 part. This post has the specs for those spacers, and the thread has a lot of good info. https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=20133891

I was hoping to get at least -2.0 with -2.5 or greater to be ideal. |

My camber could have been a little more aggressive, but I also had my suspension raised up a good bit while they did this install. I've read that you should expect between -.8 to -1 increase with the arms. I lost about -.2 off my pre-LCA alignment to the height increase. To get into -2 territory you'll need either camber plates or a combination of F80 LCA and the F30 -.5 correction hub.
