Hi everyone, I have the F34 gt with he n57 engine... I will be replacing the valve cover soon but looking in the engine bay it's not looking good for access to the rear of the engine... is there a way to get more access? Do I need to remove any body work to do this ?

Under the plastic cowling in the scuttle area, there are some removable bulkhead panels that will give you more access. Check the cam cover carefully for warping as they don't like the heat of DPF regens. BMW replace the whole lot when doing leaky cam covers under warranty for that reason.
