With my E90, I replaced rotors after every two pad change. Figures it will be the same with my F36.

Really good. I don't track the car either. Petal has great bite (OEM would bite a bit harder on cold pads, but not drastically different).

The best part is the EBC has very little brake dust in comparison.

Hello guys, i have a question.
I want to remove m sport brakes 340mm front 345mm rear from my f30 and put regular 312mm front and 300mm rear discs with calipers and everything. So i want to know is the any coding needed after that or?
Thanks in advance!

Iirc there's a coding feature to deselect the M-sport brake option.

Also, you should measure your rotor thickness with some cheap $20 calipers. Rotors should be machined or replaced if you're doing pads. Since you're doing a DIY and saving on labor costs and willing to get non-OEM parts, you can probably find Zimmerman rotors for about $100 per corner. Well worth it if you're doing your pads anyway. You can probably get away with just slapping in some pads on your existing rotors if the rotors are in good condition, though.
About ceramic pads - could not agree more. Not all ceramic pads are the same but all ceramic pads will be a harsher braking companion for the rotors, decreasing rotor life.

The reluctance to see brake dust is overrated. It's just an indicator that the frictional forces work as expected, shaving off a layer of brake pad compound exposing a fresh brake pad surface.

I notice that ATE (Continental VDO Systems) has their own rendition of ceramic pads now for the blue brakes.

Curious as to how they'll compare to the old school Akebonos people have come to love and loathe.
