CarPlay activation F36

Hello,

I’m looking to activate CarPlay for my BMW 430i 2016, F36. I have NBTevo H163031. I have some questions. Appreciate your help and response.

Is it safe to flash my idrive5 to idrive6 for full screen CarPlay?
Are there any drawbacks like idrive reboot/performance?
Is it possible to do it DIY? Any video tutorial available or any thread describing how to do it step by step?
Any other potential issues that can happen? Pros and Cons in doing this?
