BMW 435d xDrive 2014 - Acquisition and mid-term repair costs
Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a used 435d xDrive Coupe (2014) from an authorised BMW dealership in Germany and I could use your opinions about this car. It has 100.000km, m-package, 2 years warranty (EuroPlus), hasn't had any accidents. It costs 28.500 EUR So I have a couple of questions: 1. Is the price fair for this car, given the number of km and the production year? 2. What kind of repair and maintenance costs should I expect in the next two years, maybe even after the warranty expires? 3. Overall is it a good idea to buy an 8-year old sports car? Thanks in advance. |

As you may know, buying a car at official dealer is always more expensive than private or other dealers. For this mileage I would rate the price 3000,- too high, the given warranty is normal at selling for BMW, I got this for my M4 too, more important for you are the exclusions, which items are not covered by the warranty.
Also your question to the costs expecting the next years: Almost once a year routine inspection, every 2 years or 30000km driven oil exchange (whatever comes first), every 3 years brake oil change. So far, when you're dividing the 100000km through 8 years you get an average of 12500km per year, thats a normal usage. Interesting to know, how many preowners are present, when the amount would be higher than 2, I would pass.

Thank you for the reply.
The car has 2 previous owners. The second owner got the car from the same dealership that's selling it now. I guess that both purchases were buybacks |
